Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years in Traditional Asian Medicine.  The practice today is safe and strictly follows clean needle techniques.  In my practice, I only choose “patient friendly” Korean and Japanese needles.  They are as thin as a hair, and may feel like an insect prick upon insertion.

But what can acupuncture treat?  It is important to know that acupuncture can be used clinically for local pain.  We call this “medical acupuncture”, and this is the technique some doctors and therapists use.  I am trained in the art of Traditional Asian Medicine, so I will gather information to come up with a Chinese Medicine diagnosis, and this opens up the areas of treatment.

Acupuncture is very good for local muscular tension.  You can often find an immediate release if you are in acute pain.  Chronic pain will incorporate a maintenance plan for maximal benefit.  This can be weekly, or even monthly.

In my practice, I have the most success in using acupuncture for pain management, stress reduction, anxiety, sleep issues, digestion, and fertility treatments.  If you have questions about whether acupuncture can help you, please email me at info@natdoctor.com or book a virtual Meet and Greet to discuss.

I am booking in-person acupuncture visits in Markham on Wednesdays and Fridays 10-3pm.  Check to see if your extended health insurance covers acupuncture and naturopathic services.
