Far Infrared Sauna
Detox, relax, lose weight the easy way with infrared…
Many doctors now recommend an infrared sauna to their patients for a number of issues. Weight loss, blood pressure control, arresting and reducing high cholesterol levels and inflammation are some issues that benefit from use of the infra red sauna. Toxins deep within the body are excreted through the skin. Infrared sauna detoxification will help remove poisons such as tobacco, mould, lead, mercury, hair dyes, and car emissions to mention a few which bombard our bodies every day.
Infrared sauna detoxification would help remove these polluting substances. Our bodily system thus is saved from accumulating these substances. That in turn leads to prevention of possible diseases and premature aging of our body, skin and mind. This improves our immune system to the peak efficiency.
The skin is the largest organ of the body and a major elimination channel.
Reduces body fat: infra red heat penetrates deep in the tissue and stimulates lipolysis (the breakdown of stored fat).
Increased energy: growth hormone release is induced by an increase in body temperature and not by exercise itself. Growth hormone increases muscle mass, calcium retention, and lipolysis.
Improved circulation to the muscles: the heat causes the release of nitric oxide. This stimulates vasodilation of the microcirculatory system, bringing more blood to the muscles.
Detoxify the body: increased blood circulation stimulates the sweat glands, releasing built up toxins and waste.
Heavy metal detoxification: sweat is the only way to remove certain carcinogenic PCBs, dioxins, phthalates, and volatile organic hydrocarbons.
Reduces visible cellulite: cellulite fat is mixed with trapped toxins, in part due to an underactive circulatory system. Cellulite is visible, in part due to weakened connective tissue.
Rejuvenates skin: DNA synthesis of fibroblasts, which affects the elasticity of skin, increase five-fold. The result is younger looking, more beautiful skin.
Lessens joint and muscle pain and increases flexibility: penetrating heat has been proven to reduce pain and increase circulation to areas of discomfort. Infrared sauna has also been shown to significantly increase the range of flexibility.
Workout in less time: due to increased production of ATP and quick dilation of the microcirculatory system, a person can lessen warm-up time and work at a higher level of exertion without increasing blood pressure. When far infrared penetrates through skin to the subcutaneous tissues, it transforms from light energy into heat energy. The thermal effect within the deep layers of the tissues causes blood vessels and capillaries to dilate, promoting a better blood circulation, and the heat so produced helps to get rid of body toxins and metabolic wastes through sweating.
Because the infrared sauna’s heat penetrates the body much deeper (up to 1-3/4 inches compared to the traditional saunas which only penetrates approximately 1/8 inch), your body can get a good detoxifying sweat at about 120 degrees as compared to 180 degrees required from a traditional sauna.
“A moderately conditioned person can easily sweat off 500 grams in a sauna, consuming nearly 300 kcal, which is equivalent to running 2-3 miles. A heat-conditioned person can easily sweat off 600-800 kcal with no adverse effects. While the weight of the water loss can be regained by drinking water, the calories consumed will not be.” (Journal of the American Medical Association).
